CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) OFFICE
ABOUT US

Message from the Executive Director

We, members of the CME, take pride in our office established in 2009,  bringing together the 50 year CME experience of the Middle East Medical Assembly (MEMA) and the high quality standards of the Nursing Continuing Professional Development Center (CPDC). We aim at bringing together the post graduate experience of physicians, nurses and all health professionals under one roof to provide them with the state-of-the-art knowledge and skills that can later augment their daily practices.

Our office offers uniquely credentialed activities in the Middle East through the special agreement we have with Cleveland Clinic Center for Medical Education and the CPDC accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. These rapports allow us to offer AMA and ANA credits for most of our courses in full compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) standards. Our courses are also accredited by local and regional accrediting bodies. All these partnerships prove our effort to offer high standard activities tailored to our attendees’ requirements for certification.

The CME offers   courses relevant to your clinical, administrative and professional development skills. Be it a review on ethical challenges in your daily practice or information technology issues or simply common medical problems. We also encourage you to contact us for special courses that would be tailored for the needs of your organization.

Be our guest and savor our hospitality and advanced training.

Ghassan Hamadeh, MD,CPE
Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO)

Mission

Vision

The office strives to become a regional resource for North American accredited continuing professional development and educational activities targeting physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.

It works to provide physicians and other health care providers with exemplary, cutting-edge endeavors that teach evidence-based practices and identify new and emerging health care needs and opportunities from research through delivery of care so that, through education, we can significantly improve health.

History

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) office was inaugurated in January 2010 in collaboration with The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) Center for Continuing Education. It is the sole coordinator of all Continuing Education (CE) offerings provided by AUB-Faculty of Medicine (AUB-FM), AUB-School of Nursing (AUB-SON), and AUB-Medical Center (AUB-MC) including Clinical and Professional Development Center (CPDC). The office began organizing the flagship activity of AUBMC, the Middle East Medical Assembly (MEMA), and moved on to organizing nearly 60 to 70 activities per year.
