TANIOS AND SOURAYA SEMAAN OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER (ASC)
DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and as part of the Department of Anesthesiology is the primary advocate for ambulatory surgery centers in Lebanon. The new facility plays a prominent role in allowing patient s to undergo surgical procedures and return home without the need for an overnight stay.

Ambulatory surgery, also known as outpatient or same-day surgery, is a new multispecialty unit that covers a wide range of surgeries (limited urologic, ophthalmologic, or ear, nose, and throat procedures, etc.) while reducing the amount of time a patient needs to stay in the medical center. It also enhances recovery and improves surgical outcome, thus enabling patients to resume their day to day life within a very short period of time.

As part of the Daniel ACC, the Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art unit that utilizes some of the most advanced medical equipment available. We strive to provide compassionate, personalized, and quality focused care to all our patients. Our office staff, nurses, and doctors are dedicated to our patients.
